Quote for the day:

Using a camera appeases the anxiety which the work-driven feel about not working when they are on vacation and supposed to be having fun. They have something to do that is like a friendly imitation of work: they can take pictures. -Susan Sontag, “Plato’s Cave”, (1977) , “On Photography” by Susan Sontag

Ouch, this quote hits a little close to home. I think this might very well apply to me. However, if I didn’t take photographs while I was on vacation, my production would drop dramatically. Vacation is when I have the most free time for photography.

  1. Great photo Darrell! I love the colors, texture and characteristics of age that exist on almost all subjects in this photo.
