Quote for the day:

The fact is that relatively few photographers ever master their medium. Instead they allow the medium to master them and go on an endless squirrel cage chase from new lens to new paper to new developer to new gadget, never staying with one piece of equipment long enough to learn its full capacities, becoming lost in a maze of technical information that is of little or no use since they don’t know what to do with it. -Edward Weston

  1. Very well composed picture there. I like it!,
And for the quotes sake, that Weston guy is so right, especially with this new digital photography age, where you can get new stuff so easy and so cheap.

  2. Emi, you must tell me where you are finding this “cheap” digital photo gear. I don’t think I have ever heard the word cheap and digital photography in the same sentence. :)

  3. Well, maybe it not precisely cheap. But it’s not quite as expensive as a few years ago. Or maybe I just got more money between my hands since then.
I just bought a Olympus E-510 double zoom kit, and I’m just amazed how much technology you get for that relative small amount of money.

  4. mmm. love this shot. haven’t visited in a while… you’ve been taking some wikkid shots. this one reminds me of growing up on the prairies… the skies are spectacular
