Quote for the day:

(But)…a lot of photographers think that if they buy a better camera they’ll be able to take better photographs. A better camera won’t do a thing for you if you don’t have anything in your head or in your heart. -Arnold Newman, “American Photo” – March/April 2000, page: 17

  1. Nice quote and photo. I added you to my Blogroll.

Organic and every day are my favorite types of photographs and you nail them often.

  2. Thank you Rich. I have returned the favor. I get what you are into as well.

  3. What I love about this photo is that you can see so much in it. The shape of the shadow, the texture of the sand, the way the fallen sign is situated in the photo…this is great!

  4. Thanks Pred Joe. The things you mentioned are exactly what drew me to this scene to photograph it. Many people would not take a second glance at such a mundane object. I suppose I am just weird that way. :)
